Trakker EQ 2-Piece Landing Net
Trakker’s range of carp care products has been created in order to offer maximum protection for your fish both in and out of the water. Providing proper fish care is at the top of the list of requirements that the brand demands its products meet and any Trakker product that comes into contact with a fish treats the wellbeing of your capture as its paramount concern. This is why the Trakker EQ Two-Piece Landing Net has been manufactured with a fish-friendly mesh, which has been reinforced around the arms to ensure its weight bearing ability. This ensures that you can target the largest specimen carp with the confidence that this net will see them safely transported from water to bank and back again. This mesh comes in a classic carpy olive green, so, for the angler who is concerned with looks on the bank, this net is sure to match your existing tackle items, such as your bivvy or luggage. The net is of a mid depth, ensuring that it has ample room to retain a carp for a short period of time (for example, whilst you recast) without adding any unnecessary weight to the outfit.
As the name suggests, the Trakker EQ Two-Piece Landing Net is the two-piece version of the classic landing net from the brand. The 6ft carbon handle is every bit as rigid as the original, ensuring it won’t sag under the weight of your catch. However, it has the added bonus of being split in the middle, enabling you to use or transport it as a 3ft outfit. This is ideal for the angler who is trying to reduce the amount of kit they carry, particularly the angler who is already angling with 9ft or 10ft rod setups, as the entire net can be condensed into three 3ft (approximately – arms are slightly longer than 3ft) sections. It can also be easily stored in car, leaving you with additional space for storing other angling essentials. Additionally, if you’re an angler who likes to stalk your quarry, this net can be compactly rolled and strapped to your luggage for snag-free and hands-free transportation. The Trakker EQ Two-Piece Landing Net also comes into its own in a boat too, where attempting to land an aggressive fish with a 6ft net can sometimes feel a little risky. This shorter 3ft length option allows you to use this net when boat fishing without worrying that it will overbalance you as you attempt to land your catch.
The Trakker EQ Two-Piece Landing Net handle is finished with Japanese shrink wrap at the top, middle (for when the net is being used with the 3ft handle option) and bottom – ensuring that you can always get a flawless grip. This means that you never have to worry that your net will slip from your grasp, allowing you to land the biggest and most aggressive fish with complete confidence – no matter how cold or damp your hands are.
Originally trading as Rainbow Angling Supplies, Trakker was born from the ashes of the Sheffield steel industry. The brand specialises in luggage for the dedicated angler and it prides itself on its British manufacture. All of the products that Trakker produces are manufactured right here in the UK as a response against that growing Chinese influence on the UK tackle market and Trakker believes that UK manufacture is the only way you can be certain of product quality. Today, the brand manufactures a full range of tackle for carp fishing, including stoves, bedchairs and clothing.
