Trakker Elements Bib and Brace
Ideal for the angler who enjoys targeting fish in the colder months, this Elements Bib and Brace is the perfect complement to the impressive jacket in the Trakker Elements range. Offering superior warmth and comfort over any other pair of standard angling trousers, this Bib and Brace will ensure that you’re kept toasty on the bank – allowing you to fish for longer.
One of the big benefits of wearing salopettes or a bib and brace over standard trousers is that they also keep your torso warm too. The core of your body is where you create the most heat, so by adding additional layers of insulation around your torso ensures that you’re able to maintain your body temperature no matter the external angling conditions. A bib and brace is also incredibly useful if you’re an angler who spends a lot of time sat down in your chair on the bank (and, let’s face it, for us carp anglers that does tend to be how we spend most of our time). Even the best angling jackets don’t always offer a long enough back and when paired with standard angling trousers they can leave a nasty gap around the small of your back. This can expose you to cold draughts which, over time, will leave you feeling stiff and sore. This Elements Bib and Brace ensures that your lower back is fully covered, no matter how much your jacket rides up.
The Trakker Elements Bib and Brace is perfect for use in any cold weather scenario. Whether you’re heading into the autumn and early winter and dealing with light snow showers and strong winds, or you’re on the bank in the early spring waiting for the sun to warm the frost off your rods, these salopettes will keep you warm and dry. The outer material of the Elements Bib and Brace has a 10,000mm waterproof and a 5,000mm breathability rating. This ensures that it will keep you warm without causing you to break out into a sweat. The material is also rip-stop, ensuring that you won’t find yourself caught out if you have to battle through dense undergrowth to get to your swim. This material also aids with the overall durability of the garment and it ensures that you won’t experience any premature wear and tear. The Bib and Brace boasts a lightweight insulation layer that helps retain body heat and it is lined with a smooth material to ensure you don’t suffer from any snagging inside the clothes, making it perfect to pull over your existing angling clothing.
The Elements Bib and Brace is fastened using a long central YKK main zip and it also features zip access ankles. This allows you to easily pull this Bib and Brace over your trousers and shoes when the weather takes a turn for the worse and the Velcro storm flap and adjuster ensures you can always enjoy the perfect fit. The main straps can also be completely adjusted for maximum comfort. No matter what adverse conditions you are faced with, the Trakker Elements Bib and Brace will keep you warm, dry, and (most importantly) on the bank.
Trakker was established in the 1980s when Carl Drabble was made redundant during the mass closures of the steel factories. Originally trading as Rainbow Angling Supplies, the brand manufactured products for some of the biggest names in angling. However, as imports from China became cheaper, the brand changed direction and began to manufacture their own gear for the emerging carp fishing market. Today, the brand pays homage to its original name with its iconic rainbow logo and it still prides itself on the British manufacture of all of its gear.
