Sonik Tournos 6000 Big Pit Reel,
This reel might be the baby brother of the exceptionally popular Tournos 8000 but that doesn’t mean that it offers any less in way of performance excellence. The Sonik Tournos 6000 is a classic big pit reel in all sense of the word and is the ideal carp reel for the angler who likes to tackle the UK’s largest waters.
Built on a carbon composite body and rotor, this reel is both lightweight and rigid. Rigidity is often an under looked factor in reel construction but it is absolutely vital to ensure that all the internal components of the reel remain perfectly aligned – even under the extreme pressure of a hard fighting monster carp. No fewer than 10 stainless steel bearings, all of which have been doubled shielded for added resilience, ensure that the reel is smooth operating and high performance throughout its lifespan.
The Sonik Tournos 6000 Big Pit operates on a rapid drag system. This means that you can switch from freespool to full drag in the merest of moments – ideal for the carp angler who likes to tackle the largest fish the UK’s venues have to offer as it allows the carp to run with you hook until you’re ready to enter into the fight. This gives you full control when you need it the most, resulting in fewer lost fish and more landed PB’s.
The spool on the Tournos 6000 is a classic big pit size, offering a large diameter for extended casting distance with reduced risk of tangles. The spool is also fitted with two spring loaded line clips. This allows you to use this reel as a marker tool and ensures that you can fish two spot with consistent accuracy. Not only that, but because the line clips are sprung you can fish with both monofilament and braided mainlines with confidence that you will not cause the line damage.
Ideal for all your carp fishing needs, the Sonik Tournos 6000 Big pit can also be used effectively surf casting.
