If you’re an angler who fishes with a three rod single stick setup then you’ll know how time consuming it can be to get yourself set up precisely so all your rods are in line and ready to go. Not only do you face the problem of evenly spacing your setup – ensuring that you don’t encounter any rocks that prevent you from spreading evenly – but you also go head to head with the problem of keeping your banksticks straight. What’s more, when you’re fishing with buzz bars, it is often impossible to prevent twists – no matter how tightly you screw your setup. These were all problems that Korda’s Danny Fairbrass was fed up of facing, day in, day out, and, in 2008, he decided to do something about it. Danny began fishing with the first prototypes in 2010. Immediately anglers were stopping him on the bankside to ask where he got his system from, so he knew instantly he was onto a winning idea. However, although coming up with the idea was fairly straightforward, getting the product produced to the kind of quality that Korda demands didn’t prove so easy. What’s more, the company also wanted the entire system to come in at a reasonable price point, as the brand doesn’t believe in pricing out anglers with a smaller budget. Finding a company that married high quality production with costs that allowed anglers across the discipline to invest with confidence took time. Danny was happy to wait, however, and (eight years after the original idea came to him) he is proud to say that he has found the perfect manufacturer. JAG is one of the biggest manufacturers of stainless steel bankware in the UK and it is famous for its bespoke quality. The two brands have combined their skills in order to create this range of buzz bars and sticks for a quick and flawless rod setup.

These are the Three Rod Buzz Bars in the range and unlike most traditional buzz bars they don’t offer any adjustability in width. This is because the Korda team found that all adjustable buzz bars gave a slight wobble and weren’t quite as sturdy as they would have liked them to be – the brand were committed to making this system flaw free. It was also almost impossible to get the set up evenly spaced, too, when you were fishing with adjustable buzz bars. For an angler as precise as Danny, this proved a huge problem – especially as he didn’t want to waste hours on the bank with a ruler in order to get his system evenly space. However, Danny also knew that different scenarios and different angler would need differently spaced systems. To enable you to still have the variety of widths that you want, Korda has manufactured these in four sizes. The smallest 8.5 inch spacing is ideal for the most compact carp fishing setups and the largest 11.5 inches is ideal for when you want a slightly bigger spread over the water. You can mix and match these sizes however you like, to suit your needs on the bank, enabling you to splay out your rods with the handles close together and the tips far apart or to angle your rod tips into each other with the handles wide.
