This carp rod in this combo features a slim and powerful 24T carbon blank construction with a progressive casting action, meaning you have plenty of power in the butt section for casting heavy leads at distance, but a forgiving tip section which will cushion long runs from powerful carp. This JRC fishing rod also features lightweight LTS guides throughout the rod, that not only make the rod incredibly light, but also reduce the friction on your fishing line on the cast, allowing you to cast further with ease. The JRC Defender rod is finished off with a DPS reel seat which fits the supplied JRC Defender reel perfectly, but has been designed to also fit other carp reels to even the largest big pit fishing reel.

The fishing reel supplied in this combo is the JRC CR10000FS Reel. This carp reel uses a free spool system, which with one click allows the spool to spin without any tension on the line allowing the fish to confidently take the bait with no resistance, but with a quick click will allow you to play the fish normally. Perfect when used in conjunction with bite alarms. The carp reel has been constructed by JRC with a lightweight graphite body and rotor with a nylon line clip, perfect for being completely accurate when fishing especially when used in conjunction with distance sticks. The spool is made from aluminium which not only makes the reel very lightweight and a perfect match to the JRC Defender rod, but also incredibly durable and perfect capable of dealing with all the rigours of modern carp fishing. The JRC reel has been pre-spooled with super strong 0.35mm mono fishing line, which has been carefully selected by the team at JRC to be the perfect all rounder line which will cover a wide range of carp fishing scenarios.

This full carp fishing combo packs down into its own high quality rod sleeve with zipper, allowing you to keep this carp rod and reel safe when not in use, but this rod bag also allows you to keep your fishing rod and reel set up, great on fishing trips where time is limited.
