Greys Prodigy TXL Specialist Float Fishing Rod
Designed for a full range of specialist fishing with floats, the Prodigy TXL Specialist Float rod is the improved specialist rod in Greys’ Prodigy range. As with all top quality rods in Greys range, this Prodigy TXL Specialist Float is constructed from high modulus carbon. This ensures that the rod is able to deliver the kind of balance between casting strength and fish playing power that you demand from a top end float fishing rod. The rod has also been engineered with anti-lock. This is a specialist engineering technique that ensures that you’re able to push the action of the rod to its extremes without worrying about locking up – reducing the risk of unfortunate hook pulls and lost fish.
As with all Greys rods, the Greys Prodigy TXL Specialist Float has been finished and furnished to exceptionally high standards. SiC line guides up the length of the rod ensure that you’re able to cast and retrieve without experiencing any friction resistance on the line and they are perfectly aligned to give you the kind of accuracy that you demand when you’re surface fishing. The handle on the rod is made from top quality cork. Not only does this look great, showcasing Greys’ classic attention to detail, but it also means that you’re ensured of an expert grip throughout the rod’s life.
There are four different rods in the Prodigy TXL Specialist Float range. The smallest of these is a 10ft rod that is perfect for tackling smaller swims or for fishing in areas with low and overhanging branches. This rod has an optimal casting weight of 12g, making it ideal for small float work. The next rod is an 11ft option, which has an optimal casting weight of 16g. This is ideal for most intermediate work, especially on the smaller end of the intermediate spectrum. The 12ft rod in the range is the ultimate all round float tool and it has an optimal cast of 25g. The final rod is a 13ft 20g option, which is ideal for all your long range float fishing needs.
