Producing reels since 1955, Daiwa still aims to produce the most technically advanced fishing equipment in the world. This is an aim that is routinely met, and Daiwa is a world leader in coarse, carp, sea, and Predator fishing products.
Perfect for fly angling, this Silvercreek rod gives that spinning rod feel with its medium to fast action blanks and crisp performance thanks to the lightweight construction
The rod comes in four sections for storage and transportation convenience. The hook keeper on the rod also helps with quick transporting from one peg to another without the need of untying your rig.
The rod has aluminium oxide stripper and snake guides as well as aluminium reel seat hoods with woven carbon pipe. The aluminium is not only strong but help make this rod as light as it needs to be for fly fishing techniques.
To further assist with this lightness, the rod has a cork handle. Cork is not only very light but is heat retentive so you can keep your hands a tad warmer when in our out of the lake in your waders or from the cool breeze the over rivers can bring.
The rod is finished in matt tape which gives a low glare look, reducing the risk of light reflection and spooking your target fish away from your swim.
There are six sizes available in this rod. For best Stillwater performance, select from the 8ft, 8ft 6, 9ft or 9ft 6. For the best opportunities on large reservoirs, select the 10ft length.
The Daiwa Silvercreek Fly Fishing Rod range covers fly rods specifically designed for situations such as River fishing, Stream fishing or Stillwater fishing, and are a great addition to your fly fishing equipment.
This range of fly rods feature medium fast action blanks, which allows you to feel the rod load up the line on the back cast. The advantage of this is it allows you to time your back cast, making casting easier.
These fly fishing rods also feature a crisper action and improved weight, giving you the finesse on the cast to ensure that the fishing fly settles down more naturally on the water.
