Daiwa Connoisseur G50 16M More Power Pole
If you’re an angler who is mad about match fishing, or you simply love coarse and carp fishing with a pole, then you’ll love this Daiwa Connoisseur G50 16m More Power Pole. This is an updated version of the original G20 pole, a piece of kit that was adored by discerning anglers up and down the country. This G50 looks set to be no different – boasting classic Daiwa quality of build in conjunction with excellence of on-bank performance – and already it has proven itself as a firm favourite on the bank.
The Daiwa Connoisseur G50 16m More Power Pole is a real workhorse of a pole. Built with strength in mind, this is an exceptionally rigid pole that can hold its own – no matter what length you fish at. Whether you fish this pole at its very shortest or you are an angler who likes to tackle the farthest features and open waters at full length, this is a versatile pole which can handle it all. You won’t find the wall strength of this pole wavering when you fish out to 16m and it bests even more expensive models in terms of its resilience when faced with a big fish. As a further strengthening feature, the Daiwa Connoisseur G50 16m More Power Pole uses V-Joint technology in order to slot the sections of the pole together. This ensures that the weakest points of many poles is actually one of the strongest on this Daiwa offering. The integrated tapering system means that this pole effective when fished at all lengths, too.
What’s more, this pole isn’t simply strong. It is also exceptionally responsive. This ensures that you are always well aware of what’s going on under the water and you never need to worry that you’re missing out on delicate or tentative takes. Even at 16m, this pole can set into delicate bites – ensuring that you can enjoy more landed fish and few disappointing missed takes. The 16m, 14.5m, 13m, and 11m number eight sections all feature Daiwa’s famous Diamond Satin finish. This is an exceptional finished which allows the pole to glide through your hands flawlessly – enabling you to respond to each take with speed. The remaining sections on the pole are finished with Slide Easy, too. As the name suggests, this makes shipping in and out easier than ever before.
The Daiwa Connoisseur G50 16m More Power Pole comes supplied with four interlastic power kits, two match top-three kits, a super fourth section, and tournament supping kit. This gives you all round versatility that allows you to target all scenarios with confidence. The pole also comes supplied in its own luggage, which provides safety and security in storage and in transit. The pole is related to 16 (20) elastics, too.
Daiwa is famously a Japanese brand and the company has been manufacturing top end gear out of their Hiroshima head office since 1955. It might come as a surprise to some, then, to learn that the UK brand of the brand has been operating out of Scotland since 1977. Whishaw boasts the largest Daiwa factory outside of the Far East and much of the Daiwa tackle on sale in the UK is produced on this site, rather than being shipped over from Japan. As you might imagine, this not only lowers production costs (a saving which gets passed over to the customer) but it also ensures that all the tackle produced has been designed with the British angler in mind. This Daiwa Connoisseur G50 16m More Power Pole is no different and it was designed and manufactured in Daiwa’s Whishaw factory.
