The Daiwa Basia 45 SLD QD Reel brings all of Daiwa’s big-hitting technology to bear in a full-featured reel that will look stylishly at home on any rod, and with any set up.  With a bail crafted from hollow tubular stainless steel, which gives complete rigidity without adding any additional weight to the reel, AirBail technology gives superior performance with minimum bulk. 

The rotor is crafted from Zaion, Daiwa’s own material, developed in-house. 50% lighter than aluminium, Zaion offers complete, lightweight protection for the reel’s gearing, giving you enhanced durability while ensuring that the reel is easy to handle.

The toughness of the main shaft is enhanced by a 45mm long cast spool with increased line capacity, while Quick Drag gives you the ability to fully engage even the largest, strongest fish, and remain fully flexible in a play-in fight, giving you the best chance of bringing your fish in without causing damage. A High Impact line clip ensures that you can quickly and easily hold down your line if you need to prevent a fish running to weeds, or keep it away from underwater snags and hazards.

The Basia comes with a spare spool, and the machine-cut aluminium handle features a classically styled wooden handle knob, giving you a traditional fishing aesthetic on a thoroughly modern reel that’s packed with the very latest Daiwa technology.
