Since its establishment in 1936, Rapala has been one of the angling world's favourite fishing lure manufacture as well as being one of the leading innovators in fishing tackle lures. Rapala has an exceptional ability to continuously improve lure fishing forever being deeply motivated by the needs of the predator fishers.
All the Rapala lures have a wobble that imitates a wounded baitfish and can be seen in the superior know-how in lure design and traditional craftsmanship values that are combined with cutting edge technology and uncompromising quality control. Today’s technology allows very advanced and precise production methods, yet throughout the production process, the lure parts are repeatedly checked for quality. Rapala lures are still hand-tuned and tank-tested before packaging to assure your lure has the Rapala trademark swimming action that big fish cannot resist, straight out of the box.
The Rippin Rap features a lipless, tall body profile designed to crank, swim and rip with a hard vibrating action whether you are long-casting or close-range sinking. The lure has a weight of 9g and features two VMC black nickel hooks, the tail is no.10 and the fin no. 8 sizes, securing your catch when a predator bites.
The thin body shape of the lure is 5cm long and features two rattle chambers with custom steel balls to create the distinctively loud BB rattle system, forging the perfect pitch combination of rattle and vibration.
The sinking body of this lipless design allows for a variety of presentations, speeds and variable swimming/ running depths. Rapala experts suggest you use a sink and rip presentation to lure in fish that hide in deeper waters, heavy vegetations or structures. You should let the Rippin’ sink to the bottom of the water or to your desired depth and then jerk or sweep up with the rod to bring the lure up with an aggressive rattle before stopping and letting the lure sink again. Then repeat the presentation for success.
The rippin rap has a very tight, high-frequency swimming engine that is sure to get the predator fish’s attention. The attention of the fish will also be caught by the chrome colouration which offers a textured scale body design to the lure and some reflection in the light under the water.
So for an impressive lure visually and mechanically, the Rippin’ Rap is certain to lure in some bites.
