Winter Carp Fishing Using The Maggot Feeder

When temperatures plummet and when winter really takes a grip, the fishing can be hard, however if you get your tackle, tactics and bait correct, there are still fish to be caught.

One excellent method and more importantly one excellent bait which can be used to devastating effect in these conditions is the humble maggot!

With temperatures only a few degree’s above freezing and with a hard frost still on the ground we took the cameras down to Barford lakes, armed with two pints of the finest red wrigglers, we hoped to catch a few fish for the camera.

To see how we got on in the session and to see how to effectively fish the maggot and maggot feeder then simply watch the two part video below! To watch in HD simply click the little cog in the YouTube player and select 720p or 1080p.
