Wednesday Review - Trakker Tempest Brolly V2

So, you loved the original Tempest Brolly? We did too, but these five things about the V2 might just make you forget all about the brolly you loved…

The Big Five

1. You can use an infill panel So, while the original Tempest Brolly was a masterclass in form, function and ease, you couldn’t attach a front. The V2 retains all the genius functionality of the original, but it now has a crowd-pleasing zip to allow you to attach an infill panel. Now there’s literally no reason to dislike the Tempest Brolly…

2. The material is better The Tempest Brolly was astonishingly good value, and that was partly made possible because the material wasn’t quite as plush as the Aquatexx used on its bigger brothers. When the team were designing the Tempest Brolly V2, they decided to improve the material, boosting it to a 10,000mm hydrostatic head polyester, but crucially, they’ve managed to keep it affordable.

3. The V2 has anti-twist poles This is a bit of a first we think. To ensure that the poles can’t become twisted when setting up, the design team came up with a clever system that fixes them in the correct orientation until you break it down at the end of the session.

4. There’s a new block system The block is both where the magic happens, and where a lot of wear happens! In many ways, it’s the key to the genius of the Tempest system, so when Trakker decided to change the material it’s made from, they must have been slightly nervous! They needn’t have been, the new block is lighter and just as strong!

5. There are some cool extras So, remember that the original didn’t allow the use of a front panel, and this one does? Well, Trakker has released a full infill panel (made from the same 10,000mm hydrostatic head material) as well as an insect panel, both of which zip into the front. You can truly have it your way…
