Sonik SK3 XTR Carp Rod Review

Built almost exclusively for Angling Direct, these bespoke Sonik SK3 XTRs are ideal for the angler wanting a little extra class from their rods. New improved versions of the best-selling SK3, the SK3 XTR carp rods have even better looks, performance and features than the originals.

Finished with a full cork handle and adorned with 50mm butt rings and a neat line clip, they're perfect for the angler who wants to look good on the bank. The performance is great too and you are definitely buying into the reliability of the Sonik rod range.

The matt-grey carbon blanks, feature a progressive parabolic action and they are ideal for playing hard-fighting fish. The 10% extra power in the butt section helps when using them for longer casts or heavy PVA-bag work, making them effective all-rounder rods. Currently, the SK3 XTR full cork is available in a 3.75lb test curve, making it a real beast of a rod.
