Bivvy lights are an item of tackle you either love or hate, but coming into winter fishing when there are more hours of darkness than there are light they really do come into their own. I have been using the Bivvy-lite Duo for a few months now and I think it’s great!
With four settings you can either have a gentle glow, which is ideal when you’re pottering around in your bivvy and you just fancy some lighting, or with a second push of the button you can have full bivvy illumination, which is a must when cooking or rig tying. A further two settings can be found by double clicking the button, which will activate a red light. This again can be used in a dimmed version or a brighter version, each equally useful when trying to minimise light pollution from the bivvy and not attract any unwelcome creepy-crawlies.
The uses don’t stop there, though, because you can also utilise them when you take night catch shots, adding a very bright and clean white light for minimising the flash spots, which can often ruin your catch shots.
The light itself has a metal backplate that will simply attach to the light via a magnetic strip, securing it in place through the material of your shelter. A handy mini USB outlet allows you to change the light via an external power source, meaning you will never have to buy batteries again.
All in all, this is a great piece of kit and one that will certainly brighten up your winter.
