As in all forms of life, it’s often the case that the more organized you are, the more successful you are, and fishing really is no different.
Anglers spend huge amounts of time organizing bait, tackle boxes and rigs and are often on the look out for fishing tackle items that makes this job easier, one of these items, and the item we’ve picked for the Wednesday review is the Fox Rigid Rig case!
Now, many anglers only have limited time to fish and simply cannot spend hours and hours under brollies making the perfect rigs, for every eventuality and need ‘every eventuality’ tied up and stored neatly to use in a moments notice.
This is where the Fox Rigid Rig Case comes into play!
I’d seen a mate with the Fox Rigid Rig Case a few months previously and was very impressed with its design and build quality. I snapped one up not long after Christmas and now wish that I had used years ago – it just makes life so much easier.
Mine is stuffed full of everything from hinged stiff rigs and multi rigs to PVA bag and zig rigs. They are all there, ready to tackle whatever I'm faced with.
The outer case is extremely robust, probably made from the same stuff they make the black box flight recorders from – it really is indestructible. The same can be said for the catches and hinges – potential weak spots on some other versions. Despite this build quality, the whole thing is nice and light.
When you first open the lid it is immediately apparent that this isn’t just another glorified float box with a bit of foam inside. A lot of thought has gone into the design – typical of the new wave of Fox products as the company enjoys a bit of a renaissance.
The inside features twin flat storage areas, plus an innovative hinged section that can be used for more single rigs or for winding longer items like zigs and leaders around.
The system also caters for curved sections of shrink tubing (keeping them curved under tension) and comes supplied with plenty of the essential pins. As I said earlier, I wish I had been using this before now – my life would have been much easier. I might even get a second one.
