Wednesday Review... Advanta Discovery CX One Night Stand Bivvy

Our very own Nathan Highley, Norwich store carp consultant, has recently been testing out the Advanta Discovery CX One Night Stand Bivvy, here's what he has to say about it...
I've been using the Advanta One Night Stand now for around two and a half months. In that time I've experienced some pretty horrendous weather conditions, but the One Night Stand has stood up to them all.
The first thing that you notice with the bivvy is how compact it is when inside the bag. Not only is it very small but it is also very light too. Out of the bag, the bivvy has a footprint to match that of any short stay brolly, so it is small enough to fit in a tight swim. It has been cleverly designed to maximise the internal space, so I never felt crammed in.
The bivvy itself has a two rib design, with four breaks in each pole. It also has a good sized peak to ensure that when it rains you can leave the door open without getting soaked.
It comes complete with a back support bar, a centre bar, and a short support bar for the peak, meaning that it's very sturdy in all weathers, including strong winds. The bivvy also comes complete with a detachable heavy duty lightweight ground sheet and strong screw pegs.
The door and sides feature mozzie mesh panels as well as full material. This is the same for the back of the bivvy, which has a window sized mozzie panel in. If required, you can also purchase a winter overwrap for the one night stand which will give you another foot or so space on the front and eliminate the condensation problems that every single skin bivvy seems to suffer from.
Having been out in some real downpours over the past couple of months, I can confirm that the material is of real quality. The bivvy hasn’t leaked once, and I haven’t been using the overwrap either.
If you're looking for a compact sized bivvy that is very sturdy and strong, then look no further than the One Night Stand.
