Wednesday Review- Wofte Staple Clothing Range

Wofte, or Watch Out For Them Eels, have been making waves in the urban carp since since its inception in 2011. The brand offers a ‘streetwise’ take on traditional angling fashion, marrying urban style with angling practicality. The Staple range is exactly that, staple items of clothing with a simplistic design; tees, caps, joggers, shorts and hoodies.

Wofte Staple 5 Panel Cap



Starting top down, the Wofte Staple Cap is featherweight due to its 100% nylon construction, meaning it is also waterproof, emphasising the angling practicality the Wofte Staple range possesses. The cap sports a five-panel design and features embroidered WOFTE lettering in white above the peak of the cap.

Other than that, the Staple Cap features very subtle detail, including black metal eyelets to allow for airflow, a miniature tag detail on the rear adjuster belt, understated stitching on the peak and a corduroy effect on the front panel.

Wofte Staple Cap



If a five panel design isn’t for you then perhaps you will be more interested in the more traditional baseball cap. Complete with a curved peak and a strong plastic size adjuster, the Wofte Staple Cap, and baseball caps in general, are something of a stalwart in terms of bankside fashion.

This particular instalment from Wofte features the same minimalist design as the rest of the Staple range, sporting the same centralised embroidered WOFTE lettering above the peak. Other characteristics are minimal, such as stitched eyelets for airflow and the traditional baseball cap button at the peak of the crown.

The Staple cap is also available in Olive.

Wofte Staple Tee



A lightweight cotton t-shirt is a must have when fishing during the warmer months, keeping cool on the bank will ensure you stay comfortable whilst on those longer sessions. Made from 100% premium cotton, with a weighting of 180gsm, the Wofte Staple Tee allows you to do just that. The other benefit of a high-quality cotton composition is the assurance that the tee won’t shrink in the wash, or lose its shape.

Much like the cap, the Wofte Tee is minimalist in design, featuring the same embroidered white lettering, centralised across the chest on the tee. The Wofte Staple Tee is available in Tan and pairs well with the olive green items in the Staple range.

The Staple Tee is also available in Maroon.

Wofte Staple Hoodie



Made from a cotton (80%) polyester (20%) mix, the Wofte Hoodie is relatively lightweight for a hoodie, with a weighting of 280gsm the garment is perfect for a summers evening once the temperature has dropped off. The Staple Hoodie features straight cut sleeves and a double thickness, three panel construction.

Being part of the staple range, the hoodie uses subtle design features, of course the embroidered white WOFTE lettering centralised across the chest features and contrasts with the flecked drawstrings around the neck which are capped with a metal aglet.

Wofte Joggers



The Wofte Joggers match the hoodie and feature the same cotton polyester construction, Olive Green colour and flecked drawstring. The waistband and ankles are elasticated to improve the fit of the joggers and keep you warm.

The pockets are deep and finished with YKK zips, perfect for keeping key bits of tackle close at hand, receiver, headtorch, mobile phone, car keys will all comfortably fit in these side pockets. Finally, the embroidered WOFTE lettering is just below the pocket zip on the left leg.

Wofte Shorts



Similar to the Wofte Joggers in all but length and placement of the WOFTE lettering, which in this case in located just above the left knee.
