The Fox Evo Compact could quite possibly be the most adaptable short session bivvy on the market. The height and width of the Evo is fully adjustable to suit the environment of your chosen swim, perhaps your faced with a low-hanging tree, this would be a problem with other bivvies on the market but not the Fox Evo with its variable angled elbow joints you can give your Evo a lower profile without compromising its structure.
The assembly of the Fox Evo is straight forward and quick, the construction is built around two central glass filled nylon moulded blocks which secure the Evo’s exterior pole structure in place with minimum fuss, simply snap the poles into place.
Once the outer two side poles are secure, lock the two rear poles in place and finally the front two poles, which also make up the storm peak. Done. It really is that simple.
The Fox Evo is supplied with a detachable ground sheet if you require an extra level of protection on a wetter day. On that note, the Evo is constructed from polyester with a 2000mm hydrostatic head rating and has been fitted with a larger ground skirt than its predecessor, further shielding your bivvy from the elements.
The mozzie panel at the front of the bivvy is easily zipped on and is able to provide full front coverage, part coverage or you can detach it giving you an open fronted bivvy for those warmer, drier sessions.
Adjustable telescopic storm poles are provided for extra support and peace of mind during those blustery sessions on an open water, there is also three storm cords at the rear of the bivvy to ensure your bivvy stays fastened to the ground.
Finally, one huge benefit of the Fox Evo is how lightweight it is; the bivvy, groundsheet, T-pegs, storm poles, mozzie sheet and carry case amount to a measly 6.5kg
