Here at CFA we like our rods to be all rounders and this 13ft match rod from Maver certainly comes under that banner. Whether you are fishing lakes, river or commercials, the Abyss is a rod that can cope with all three disciplines. We would use it for waggler fishing in the main.

It’s smooth through action can deal with commercial carp and it will also perform well when stick-float fishing on rivers. You will also notice that it has that ‘feel’ you’ll need for bream and silvers, when stiffer rods will be pulling put of fish at the net.
