New hybrid species captured from a local waterway!
We've just received a picture and short catch report, from a local angler who would like to remain anonymous, with what we can only describe as a first… A capture of a very special fish, that we believe has never been landed on rod and line before, the fish which is being branded/named as a PIKARP, was landed from a private syndicate water in the midlands.
Although details are a little sketchy at the moment, it’s believed the fish fell to a homemade monster fish boilie and was weighed and witnessed by two other anglers, it pulled the scales round to a few ounces over 20lb and is believed to be a new British record, however the claim will have to be submitted to the big fish committee.
Very interesting stuff and a very special capture indeed! We’ll keep you posted as we receive more details.
