Sea Fishing Back Aboard The Chinook - Mixed Autumn Action

For this latest episode we left our home county of Norfolk and headed back down to Essex, as we had another trip planned aboard Phil Whites boat the Chinook III out of Bradwell. I’ve been lucky enough to fish with Phil on many occasions now and I’d thoroughly recommend a day out with him, not only is he a top bloke, but he’s also a top skipper too and certainly knows a thing or two about fishing.

Now, fishing at this time of year can often be very mixed and varied; the summer species haven't left and the winter species haven't properly arrived, it's a sort of cross over point in the sea angling calendar. Sometimes it can be a frustrating time, but sometimes it can be a fruitful time, providing some exciting fishing opportunities, with anglers not knowing what will take there baits next!

Phil echoed this sentiment as we left the moorings, explaining that a whole host of different species had been landed over the past few weeks and that our session could indeed, be very mixed and varied.



After a decent steam to the first mark of the day, we soon had the rods baited and fishing and we all sat there with eager anticipation watching the tips. We weren't 100% sure what we'd encounter, but with a motley crew on board, we'd knew if nothing else it'd certainly be a laugh!
