Pole Fishing For Roach On A Tidal River

With news that there was a few late season Roach being caught on our local River Yare, we decided to take the filming equipment down to see if we could get a few on camera!

The area we choose to fish was a fantastic area known as ‘The Green’ at Bramerton Woods End. Throughout the traditional coarse fishing season, fishing in this area is prohibited, however from October 1st anglers are allowed to fish this stretch, providing they give way to mooring boats. It provides some fruitful opportunities for anglers targeting Roach, Bream, Pike and Perch and with it being free to fish, it obviously offers great value for money!

The Bramerton stretch is a fairly wide stretch of river and it can flow hard, it’s not as wild as the upper river, but still can provide a challenge to inexperienced anglers who haven’t fished it before, so in this video we offer some of our best tips and techniques on how to fish such a venue.

You can find out how we got on in the session by watching the video below! To watch in HD simply click the little cog in the YouTube player and select 720p or 1080p.
