New Nash Tackle For 2015

Nash tackle already boast an impressive catalogue of carp fishing product, their extensive range of well thought out tackle is loved by many and graces the banks up and down the country. The team, with Kevin himself at the helm, are always pushing the boundaries of design and technology, so when you hear they’ve got some new product coming out you generally stand up and take notice, with this year being no different.

Recently we headed down to their premises in Essex to get the low down on their new items for 2015/16 and as usual we weren’t disappointed. Some of the tackle won’t be available for a few months as yet, but we thought we’d give you a sneak peak on some of the bits that really caught the eye, after all it’d be rude not too!

Nash Indulgence Air-Lite 2 The indulgence range from Nash is already a proven winner and after taking the bedchair market by storm a few years ago it’s never looked back, being the ‘go-to’ name for any angler seeking a high-end, quality bed.

For 2015 Nash identified that some anglers were wanting a lighter more compact bed, partly due to the popularity of their very own Scope range, that didn’t compromise on quality. The result was the new Air-Lite 2.

This new model features all the quality you’d expect from anything branded up with the Indulgence name, just in a smaller package. It’s incredibly lightweight, two leg design promises to satisfy the needs of anglers who are looking for compact comfort, as will the price, as with an SSP of under £200 it offers tremendous value for money.

Top Feature - Extremely compact and lightweight, denier bottom to stop cold airflow. Price - Around £190 Availability - Beg/mid December

Nash Indulgence Chairs Whilst on the subject of indulgence there’s some chairs on the way too, five new models to be precise! The Daddy Long Legs LS, Big Daddy LS, Recliner LS, Recliner Big Daddy LS and the Ultra-lite. These new models will supersede and streamline the existing range, but will still cater for the needs of all anglers, whether you are looking for a lightweight stalking chair or a full blown all singing all dancing session chair, there’ll be something in the range to suit.

All five chairs are extremely lightweight and have been manufactured using the highest grade aluminium, they all feature the super soft Nash memory foam and all have fully adjustable legs with swivelling mud feet. Probably the smartest new feature though was the unique removable and fully adjustable lumber support, which is designed to offer extra support for the base of your back. This new concept looks a winner for any angler who suffers with any type of back pain and is another top piece of innovation from the Nash team.

Although this range of chairs isn’t cheap (prices start from around £85) you simply cannot put a price on comfort, especially if you suffer from back ache after a long session on the bank.

Top Feature - Unique, fully adjustable, removable lumber support. Price - Starting from around £85 Availability - Beg/mid December

Nash Toro Carp Rods The new Toro Carp rods were extremely impressive, looking like they had been plucked from a racks of a custom build factory, they featured everything you’d expect from a high end carp rod. High grade carbon construction, minimal guides, line and snag clips and an ALPS reel seat, combined with beautiful matt black whippings and finish they scream quality and really catch the eye.

Available in 12ft and 13ft models, in 3.25lb and 3.5lb, with a spod/marker rod to match they aren’t cheap (starting at £290) but with the features they offer and with there custom build appearance they look set to make there mark on the high-end carp rod market.

Nash Scope Black Ops Rods While on the subject of rods, another new rod release from Nash, is in the Scope stable - the Scope Black Ops. Now these are something special and are probably the most exciting product from all of the 2015 new releases.

These are an industry first in the fact that they are 100% carbon, well almost, apart from the guides. This of course makes them incredibly lightweight and easy to use. Featuring the first fully carbon reel seat and butt cap, they offer some of the same features as the new Toro’s, with line and snag clips, minimal guides and beautiful matt black whippings and finish. In short they look absolutely stunning and will surely get the self proclaimed tackle tarts reaching for there credit cards. I haven’t done alot of carp fishing for many years now, but these made me want to buy a set and get out there and use them, they looked and felt that good!

Available in six models, 9ft and 10ft in 3lb, 3.5lb and 4.5lb they are another excellent addition to the already popular Scope range and elevate it to the next level. Of course they aren’t cheap but with the features they offer and with the amount of work that’s gone into them its completely understandable.

Top Feature - They look and feel amazing! Price - Starting from £270 Availability - Beg December

Nash Scope Black Ops Pop Up Shelter & Recon Brolly The Scope concept has really grown in popularity since it’s birth some 5 years ago, so it’s no wonder that Nash have expanded the range further for 2015/2016. As well as they new rods there’s some other superb Scope items hitting the market, with a new bivvy, fishcare items and luggage all set for release.

The Scope Black Ops pop up shelter is perfect for the angler who isn’t fussed about home comforts, it’s perfect for those who buy into the Scope idea, those who travel light and hunt there quarry as oppose to those who ‘camp’ for days on end. Weighing in stupidly light it simply pops up around your bedchair and can be erected in seconds, quicker than a brolly and offering more protection! It looks great too!

If you prefer a brolly then fear not, as Nash have also released two new models for 2015, the Scope Black Ops Brolly and the Scope Black Ops Recon brolly, both are well worth a look and will certainly gain there fair share of fans amongst the brolly brigade.

Top Feature - Incredibly quick erection time and ultra compact size. Price - Starting from £170 Availability - Mid December

Nash Scope Black Ops Fishcare Range They have the rods, they have the luggage and they have the other hardware, so why not introduce a range of fish care items? Well now they have! With five new items in this new fish care range, mat, compact mat, weigh sling, retainer system and refresh water bucket, the scope angler can now travel even lighter.

Even though it’s hard to re-invent something like an unhooking mat, lets face it as long as it’s thoroughly padded and protects your catch its done it’s job, Nash have still added their own innovative, unique style.

The unhooking mats roll up incredibly small, clip together and can be attached to the Scope rucksacks, with the refresh water bucket fitting nicely on the end. (see pic). The weigh sling can be packed down and fitted in the smallest of spaces and the retainer system is one of the most innovative things I’ve seen, sounds crazy but it’s so clever! A tip top system with added floats on each end, it simply attaches to the arms of your landing net and transforms it into a safe retention area. Perfect for not only the Scope angler, but any competition carper who takes more than one net, it’ll certainly make life easier.

Top Feature - Quality compact carp care range. Price - Starting from £9.99 Availability - Beg November

Nash Scope Black Ops Luggage Range Another impressive range from all what we saw was the new Scope Black Ops luggage range. Consisting of numerous different rod skins, rucksacks, carryalls and pouches it was obvious that a large amount of time and effort had been spent on creating it.

There’s far too many features to talk about in this one blog, so it’s something we’ll definetely re-visit, but for now keep your eyes peeled for the Black Ops Patrol and Assault Packs and of course all the pouches to match. If you are looking for an innovative, completely adaptable range of luggage, where you pick how and what you need/want then this will be right up your street!

The rucksacks have some clever strapping on the side which can be used to strap the smaller pouches too, so depending on where you are fishing and what you are fishing for, you can simply clip and un-clip all the mini bags to create a totally adaptable tackle caddy. (see pic.)

Top Feature - Too many in the range to mention! Price - Starting from £30.00 Availability - Beg November
