The Adjustable Zig is a highly effective way of fishing for carp throughout the water column within your swim. In the AD Quickbite below, we run you through how to set up and use an adjustable zig rig.
Before we show you the steps to tying an adjustable zig fishing rig, there are a few items you may need to add to your shopping basket to make this amazing rig.
Step 1: Thread the little ledger stem up your mainline
Step 2: On the bottom of the ledger stem line add your choice of weight/ lead.
Step 3: Then thread your float on.
Step 4: Tie your quick-change swivel on and pull into the end of the float
Step 5: Make your look like around 3ft long, using a low diameter, discreet hooklink.
Step 6: On one end of your hooklink, add a trimmed down pop-up (or your hookbait of choice) using a knotless knot, keeping the hair very close to the hook.
Step 7: On the other end of your hooklink, add an anti-tangle sleeve and a large figure of 8 loop, making changing hooklinks nice and easy!
Step 8: Fish your rig about a foot below the surface and it will be only a matter of time before they are hooked!
