In this article, James Penrose provides an insider's perspective on the Grand Fishing Adventure premiere, offering insights into the excitement and cinematic brilliance that defined this exclusive angling event.
As a dedicated carp fishing enthusiast, I've attended carp angling events up and down the country, but nothing quite prepared me to receive an invitation to join the One More Cast team for the Grand Finale underwater episode of Grand Fishing Adventure.
This special night took place at Vue Cinema in the Lakeside Shopping Centre, Thurrock, Essex. It was a Friday the 13th, unlucky for some but turning into an evening to remember, an exclusive event that I was honoured to be a part of.
The night was all about celebrating the premiere of ITV's Grand Fishing Adventure season finale. The Grand Fishing Adventure show has quickly become a sensation in the angling world.
Hosted by the charismatic duo of Ali Hamidi and Bobby Zamora on their adventures In search of monumental fish, this event promised something extraordinary, and it certainly delivered.
As Friday the 13th would have it, we travelled more than six and a half hours to attend the event, It felt like we were never going to arrive after hitting traffic at every corner of the M6, M1 and M25.
However, upon walking through the doors of the Vue Cinema the reception was nothing short of utter class. The wonderful triage of OMC and Grand Fishing Adventure team members flurried around ensuring to say hello to everyone in attendance. They took the time to engage in conversation with everybody.
When you’ve spent years watching a big personality such as Ali Hamidi to see him running around taking his time to greet and converse with everyone was nothing short of heart-warming.
You may see the hashtag #OMCFamily throughout social media, This reception from the team showed the true meaning of it. They hold every customer, guest, family and friend in the highest regard. Something we need more of in both the angling community and the world.
The film was set to start at 7:30 PM, and anticipation and excitement filled the room as we all took to our seats, drinks and snacks at the ready. What followed was a cinematic journey that immersed us in the world of fishing like never before.
The underwater footage, breathtaking scenery, and the sheer thrill of reeling in those magnificent carp were captured with such artistry that it left all of us in awe. A true masterclass from Mr Nik Warner and his team on producing this wonderful episode.
As the credits rolled and the lights came up, the room burst into a thunderous round of applause. There’ll be no spoilers in this article, but what a finish to an episode! What an end to a tv fishing series! Gobsmacked.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for being a part of this fantastic event. It was evident that Grand Fishing Adventure was not just a television show; it was a labour of love for everyone involved. The dedication and passion of Ali Hamidi, Bobby Zamora and the entire team were palpable throughout the evening.
What truly made this event special was a live Q & A session afterwards. Hosted by none other than Steve Hill, Bobby Zamora and Ali himself. As someone who has followed his fishing adventures closely, I couldn't wait to hear his insights and anecdotes firsthand.
It was an opportunity to get up close and personal with fellow anglers who share the same passion for carp fishing as I do.
Upon the evening coming to a close, the chance to chat with fellow anglers and good friends I’ve met through OMC was a special moment. Getting to meet in person people who are having a detrimental effect on my angling career through help, guidance and friendship was a brilliant experience.
It was also a great opportunity to shake hands with all those involved with creating this phenomenal episode, and obviously a picture with the two main stars themselves!
I left the premiere with a heart full of joy and anticipation for the official release on the 23rd of October 2023 as the episode is shared with everybody. The memories forged that night will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
It was an experience that celebrated our shared love for carp fishing and The Grand Fishing Adventure, and I can't wait to relive it all over again when the show airs. To all those who contributed to making this masterpiece of a series, I offer my heartfelt congratulations on an absolutely fantastic job.
In the world of carp fishing, this premiere night will forever stand out as a moment when angling enthusiasts come together to celebrate their passion and love for OMC and the Grand Fishing Adventure on the big screen. It was a night to remember, and I am immensely grateful to have been a part of it.
Without a shadow of a doubt, there is no one in the industry doing it like OMC at the minute. Sharing experiences and creating lifetime memories for anglers who use and love their products just as much as they do, they truly are an exceptional company!
So, mark your calendars for 23/10/23, because Grand Fishing Adventure promises to be a fishing journey like no other, and you won't want to miss it!
