Dave Coster Joins Angling Direct!

Here, at Angling Direct, we are very excited to announce that the one and only Dave Coster from Angler’s Mail will be joining the team in our Lincoln store from Friday 7th April.

Many of our customers will recognise Dave from the Angler’s Mail, as he has been writing weekly features for the magazine for well over 30 years. However, this is only the beginning when it comes to Dave’s angling credentials. In his professional life, Dave has been a successful tackle shop owner and Product Development Manager for a number of top-end brands – including Hardy, and Greys from the Pure Fishing stable, which now owns some of the biggest brands in the business.

Not only will Dave be joining Angling Direct Lincoln team for a couple of days each week but he will also be lending his vast experience to assist in other areas within marketing and product development. Dave has recently moved back to the Grantham area in the East Midlands, following a long stint in Northumberland with Pure Fishing.

Commenting on his new appointment, Dave said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the Angling Direct team. It’s a vibrant and expanding business, run by a strong team of people who are very passionate about angling. As for me, I am now back in the heart of coarse fishing country, and cannot wait to start exploring both old and new fishing haunts in the area again. I will be working each Friday and Saturday in the new shop at Lincoln and really look forward to meeting all the anglers in the area – and hopefully even getting some fishing in with some of them!”

Darren Harston, our Store Manager at Lincoln, commented: “I would like to invite all anglers in the area to pop in whenever they can for a chat and pick up some top professional tips from Dave to help improve their techniques and catches on the local rivers and lakes. We cannot wait to hear his pearls of wisdom and look forward welcoming him to the Angling Direct family, as we know he will make a brilliant addition to the team here.”
