Big Barbel All Round - Ade Kiddell
Dutch angler Tim Janssen has just spent a few days in England with our Logistics manager and Barbel expert Ade Kiddell, Tim and Ade fish together several times each year, this year being no exception having caught Barbel in 4 different countries and 8 different rivers in the last few weeks.
This trip began on the Trent with some cracking fish before moving onto 2 new rivers for Tim, firstly the Warks Avon and then the Wye, the Warks Avon came good with 2 stunning fish the best a nice double taken on Sonubaits Code Red.
The Wye was a tougher nut to crack, with the sudden cold snap slowing the Barbel down a bit, but perseverance paid off with a couple of nice Barbel and some big chub, job done.
Joining the lads on this trip was Ade’s partner and fellow Angling Direct worker Tjitske Bakker, Tjitske not only kept the boys in order and fed and watered but also managed a bit of time to fish and landed a cracking 11lb plus Barbel as a reward for her hard work.
