Preston Innovations England Feeder Fishing Team have taken the runner-up spot and a silver medal in the feeder fishing world championship held in Belgium over the weekend of the 8th and 9th of October. Lying in 6th place after day 1, Team England displayed an incredible team performance on day 2 where we saw them fall just 2 points short of a gold medal!
At the Feeder Fishing World Championship, we saw 23 teams from as far away as South Africa compete, with Serbia taking the Gold and Hungary the Bronze medals.
Angling Directs own Ade Kiddell has just returned home from 8 days with the England team throughout official practice Ade has been helping with preparation in the build-up to the 2-day final.
In the next couple of weeks, Ade has promised he will give us an insider run down of what it is like as the team prepare for practice and the pressure and tension over the match weekend.
For now, all at Angling Direct would like to give our congratulations to the whole England Team and keep an eye out for Ade’s insider view of the event, coming soon to the Angling Direct Blog.
A final mention must go to Jimmy Staelens and the whole team at Maavissers Geisinger for the organisation of a brilliant venue for the championships.
